This is a Rare Water Goblet. Measures: 6-7/8" tall by 3-1/2" wide top rim. This is being attributed to J Hoare because it is shown in the Hoare Scrapbooks. According to the book, This is pattern no "3840", seen on pg. SB-98 in the Hoare Scrapbook catalog printed by the ACGA. You can see the exact stem and cutting but on a smaller glass, looks like a Cordial or maybe a wine glass in shown in the book as it is more slender and small size bowl. If the book is correct, it is Hoare. But many companies cut similar patterns in this era too. It is from the American brilliant period, (late 1800's to 1915) which is over 100 years old now! This goblet would be cut in the first half of the period by dating the catalog photo and it does fluoresce green when put in 365 uv light as an American blank with manganese does. FANTASTIC seller! I purchased two matching vases. Photographs were excellent, items were researched and well described, and prices were extremely fair. The APB crystal compote dish was extremely well packaged and it was shipped immediately and received in a few days. The dish is very beautiful and has a unique design. It is as nice as seen in the photo and exactly as described. It is in excellent condition. The shipping cost was included in the price of the vase which made the price of the dish very attractive. The seller has many other beautiful APB crystal pieces listed at very good prices. I highly recommend the seller.
What a lovely and perfect cut glass pitcher. It arrived two days ago, on time, and so well packed it took me 15 minutes to finally get to see it. I have never seen such care in packing from a seller on e-bay in my life. It is very lovely and has come to the right home for sure.
