  1. The chuck adaptor plate was precut. I was a little surprised that the register diameter was already cut to size for my chuck. I bought the chuck from another vendor but they are standardized. The register was concentric on my lathe spindle and fit very well with no slop so I got lucky. I did reface the chuck plate mounting surface on the spindle and very little was removed approximately 1 to 2 thousandths of an inch. All is good. Thanks.
