Add this stunning rare authentic antique American Webster 925 sterling silver open salt cellar 12 piece collection to any setting in which you wish to add a timeless touch. There are twelve scarce traditional petite vessels with gleaming sterling patina featuring classic colonial American heritage style that will make a stunning period showpiece for display or use. Expected but minimal age related wear and age appropriate patina due to malleable composition and period status, over 100 years old. The interiors boast a light gold wash and possess some stubborn tarnish spots, especially in crevices. This may be seen in photos and is commonly found due to the corrosive properties of salt. When in use with salt, spices or sauce filled interiors, this is not of consequence. With TLC, this may be worked on over time. This is a worthy rare timeless antique collection that looks sharp on display or for use. Precious surviving examples of American heritage and a rare treasure as such, extremely scarce in a grand set of 12. Made by Webster at the turn of the century, these 1.5” open salts are clearly marked sterling and with Webster mark, one piece also boasts the model number # 10827, a great clue to their model status, all to verso.
