Type: Fluorite Locality: Yindu Ag-Pb-Zn deposit, Inner Mongolia, China Size : 12.5cm x 5.9cm x 6.8cm (largest crystal 1.9cm) Weight: 710g A lovely example from this well-known fluorite find at the Yindu Mine in Inner Mongolia, China. The crystals are a beautiful lavender purple with distinctive dark purple stripes. These have formed as a result of multiple generations of growth. A first generation would have grown, with dark purple colour preferentially concentrated along four faces of each fluorite crystal. A second generation of clear lavendar cubes has then covered these, resulting in the distinctive aesthetic this pocket is so well known for. The crystals have wonderful lustre and really glow with sufficient backlight. ID: 101
