Carolina Herrera Kinetic Art Silk Layer Cocktail Dress Size 8 US (Fits True) 35"Bust, 28"Waist, 38"Hip, 31"L This Carolina Herrera dress comes from her Kinetic Art collection, inspired by the work of artists Carlos Cruz-Diez and Jesus Rafael Soto. The collection emphasized multi-dimensional experience and trompe l'ceil effects. Several variations of this print / dress were featured on the runway, ad campaign and in her museum exhibit. The base is a stiff satin twill pencil dress with chiffon overlay panels in the same geometric print, so it creates a dramatic optical effect when you walk. The base layer is tailored with a scoop neck, structured bodice, and nipped in waist. The chiffon overlayer creates a cape back and a boatneck neckline. The dress comes with an orange grosgrain belt. The dress is in crisp gently worn condition. There is a small smudge misprint on the under-layer which is covered by the chiffon and not visible when worn.
