ANOTHER RARE WATCH FIND FROM TIMEISPRECIOUS. A GORGEOUS AND EXTREMELY RARE WHITE DIAL 1916 WW1 15 JEWEL GENUINE GREAT QUALITY PROBABLY OFFICERS MILITARY GENUINE SOLID 925 STERLING SILVER TRENCH STYLE WATCH WITH A HALF HUNTER APPEARANCE AND ENAMELED NUMERAL BEZEL. A FANTASTIC AND RARE WATCH IN STUNNING CONDITION! I AM A 100% POSITIVE EBAY SELLER SINCE 2002-PLEASE BID WITH CONFIDENCE!! CASE: This is a REALLY BEAUTIFUL GOOD QUALITY rare 3 piece half hunter style genuine solid 925 STERLING SILVER watch case. The case is in used condition with only evidence of light normal age related wear. The case back shows light wear also with a no dings that I can see and just light marks which are commensurate with age with some normal wear marks. The back has NO engravings The case back screws on. The case bezel snaps down as it should and is a HALF HUNTER WITH STRIKING BLACK NUMERALS ENAMEL PAINTED ON THE CASE FRONT. THIS IS SUCH A RARE FEATURE ON A WATCH OF THIS TYPE. The extended solid silver wire lugs are in excellent order showing only evidence of one old solid repair. The inside of the case is beautifully engraved with English hallmarks dating this stunning watch to 1916 (Glasgow). The case is also numbered. The case measures nearly 3.5cms (35mm) in width excluding the crown and lugs. This case is of excellent quality and a good weight as you would expect. DIAL: This is a wonderful original white dial. The dial is in excellent condition for its age showing no hairlines or damage that I can see to the viewable area All of the black painted Arabic numerals are excellent. The dial is unsigned. The dial has fantastic steel blued 'Spade' style hands which look to be in excellent condition, showing just a little oxidisation. The inner crystal seems to be acrylic and shows only very light wear. MOVEMENT: This is a RARE wonderful genuine SWISS high grade quality 15 jewel LEVER movement. It is unsigned and is in beautiful condition. It has just been oiled by my watchmaker and is running well and keeping time to approximately 1 min per day. As always a full service would be recommended for continuing operation and good timekeeping. The movement is engraved with the wording 15 jewels’ and ‘Swiss made’ in a beautiful typesetting. The crown is white metal color and seems to be the original. BAND: This TRENCH STYLE WATCH has a BRAND NEW 12mm Extra Long genuine good quality brown leather band fitted. The band is BRAND NEW and as such is unworn and is in minty condition. The watch and band measure a total of just under 9 inches in total length.
