Up for sale is a 1964 GM 1-way black notched female connector (Part Number: 2965). Designed and modeled specifically for 1964 Oldsmobile 98, 88, Starfire, Jetstar, F-85, Cutlass. Higher melting point: Compared to other plastic injected mold replicas made of polyethylene, this mold is made of polylactic acid, which has a much higher melting point, ensuring greater resistance to melting under large current spikes (a common issue in OEM wiring). Polyethylene has a melting point of 105-115°C, while polylactic acid has a melting point of 160°C. Customization/Invest in the future: Injection molded connectors lack customization/touch. However, due to 3D printing's ability to rapidly customize molds, I can print plastic moldings of identifiers onto the surface of the electrical connector, ensuring easier repairability in the future. New material & structural reinforcement: Compared to NOS electrical connectors, these connectors will not have the same issues of brittleness that comes from sitting for 60 years. This is especially true for some of the earlier models of these connectors, from the 50s - 60s, which were made of Bakelite, an incredibly brittle material.
