1987 Topps Garbage Pail Kids Series 10 - One Unopened Wax Pack - Excellent condition. This pack came from a sealed case which I bought myself in the 1980s. Garbage Pail Kids is a series of stickers produced by the Topps Company, the 1st series originally released in 1985 and designed to parody the Cabbage Patch Kids dolls, which were wildly popular at the time. Each sticker card features a Garbage Pail Kid character having some comical abnormality, deformity, and/or suffering a terrible fate with a humorous word play character name such as Adam Bomb or Blasted Billy. The sticker fronts are die-cut so that just the character with its nameplate and the GPK logo can be peeled from the backing. No one would ever have predicted the popularity of these stickers, and they were so successful that 15 separate series were issued in the US from 1985-1988 (not to mention other releases issued all over the world and numerous other issues that continue to this date). This wax pack is from the original 1987 Topps GPK Series 10 and contains 5 Garbage Pail Kids stickers. The pack is guaranteed to be unopened and in EXCELLENT condition. Check out the scan for the artwork on the colorful wrapper. Wax packs are becoming harder and harder to find every day (it's been many years since any card company has used wax wrappers). This will be a very colorful addition to any collection of non-sports cards. No collection of Garbage Pail Kids items is complete without this pack.
