1991 House of Hatten Victorian Christmas Caroler Ornament ~ by DENISE CALLA This is a great collectible folk art ornament featuring a man caroler designed by Denise Calla for the House of Hatten in an Old World style and charm . Wearing a red coat with a white fur collar, top hat and large green bow, marked on the bottom as 'House of Hatten 1991'. Has an a ttached ring for hanging (no cord) on the back of his top hat or could be used as table/shelf decor. Measures about 8" tall by 4" wide. In great vintage condition with minor wear/paint loss from age. Appears to be a repair where the legs meet the bottom area of the coat. Figure is very sturdy when standing and can't be seen when standing. Please see photos for condition details. History of House of Hatten & Denise Calla: House of Hatten first approached Denise Calla in 1986 to create a line of collectible Santas and Christmas ornaments. Until July, 2003 she was their primary designer, carving the original in wood and worked exclusively for House of Hatten. Her works are not only used to decorate personal homes but also hung on the first lady's in the White House. Denise had since retired from designing for House of Hatten in 2003.
