Normally, if you install an alternator with the low-voltage battery, the alternator will overheat and eventually fail. On a starter motor if the battery has low voltage, the solenoid will burn. We always ensure that our parts are checked, in good working condition before there shipped out. We understand that it`s hard to know how the electrical system works. That is why we recommend you follow the instructions. Always Charge or check the battery before installation; the battery is the heart of your car. The quality seems pretty good. It arrived in perfect condition. It was at a good price for an OEM reman. It looks brand new. The only problem I had with my order is the shipper claimed to have 2 to 4 day shipping by priority USPS mail. Instead, it took them two days to get it to FedEx, which then took a total of 7 days to arrive. My truck was down all that time I almost would rather paid more for a local one then wait that long but it’s all working good now so I’m happy.
