This is a boxed set of 5 handcrafted chopstick rests (hashioki) made using the traditional Japanese marquetry technique known as Hakone Yosegi Zaiku . Each piece is created by combining various types of natural hardwoods, showcasing geometric patterns formed purely by the wood’s natural colors. The surface has a matte, understated finish that highlights the texture and character of the wood. Perfect as a refined gift or for use in Japanese-style dining and tea ceremonies.
