I have been training bonsai for 30 years and have had this field grown tree for 8. The Heritage Japanese Maple is a cultivar of Acer palmatum. Its botanical name is Acer palmatum 'Heritage'. The 'Heritage' cultivar is known for its distinctive red foliage throughout the growing season. This tree has been field grown for 8 years and was dug up and planted in this nursery pot this past fall. Has a very nice beginning of a nebari as you can see.
