This is an authentic, antique 1940’s wooden Regal Beer crate from the historic American Brewing Company of New Orleans, LA. A true "Ain't Dere No More" piece of local history, this rare survivor features the iconic red "DRINK REGAL BEER" typography across the front alongside the original "12 Oz" bottle marking stamped into the side. Built for heavy industrial reuse, this wood and metal-banded industrial beverage shipping crate features thick wood panels, integrated cutout hand holds for easy carrying, and its original protective metal corner banding secured by flat-top rivets. Regal was a beloved regional powerhouse famous for its "Red beans and rice, and Regal on ice" catchphrase, but the brand completely vanished when the sprawling French Quarter brewery on Bourbon Street was demolished in the 1960’s to make way for the Royal Sonesta Hotel. Because very few of these 24-bottle "Steinie" cases survived the post-closure clear-out, this item is a highly scarce, premium piece of Crescent City brewing heritage perfect for any serious New Orleans advertising collection or display.
