Dating to the early 1900s (Art Nouveau period), may I offer this 14K Yellow Gold (tested not marked) combination watch or lapel pin /brooch. No hallmarks that I can spot but this is DEFINITELY a designer piece, possibly Kerr or Krementz. A stunning design, the imagery is of a dragon head-like snake body creature with wings. Most unusual! The brooch appears to be made of 3 pieces - the main body/head cast with the wings applied individually. Soldering has been cleanly done but on one wing, at the back, the area of solder is very much apparent. The pin measures 1-1/8" high x about 1" wide. As with most Victorian pins, the pinstem sticks out from the c-clasp just a tiny bit; nice long curved hook at the back. Weight is 3.2 grams. The pin was completely black when found (yes, gold does tarnish after 50 years) so I only lightly polished for the photos; if you want a full "all around" high shine, a little more polishing is needed.
