Antique Tiffany & Co Diamond Sapphire 18K Yellow Gold Ring Size 4 3/4 w/T&Co Box You are bidding on a beautiful antique Tiffany & Co 18K yellow gold, sapphire and diamond ring in a genuine Tiffany & Co. New York box. The ring features 2 flush mounted mine cut diamonds flanking a flush mounted sapphire. The diamonds measure approx 0.25 cts each. They are mine cut, which dates the ring to approx 1900 or before. They are fairly clean and have good color [SI and H/I very approx]. One diamond has a chip on the side. The sapphire measures approx 0.37 ct. It has great color when viewed from the inside, but the top surface is quite abraded, most likely from decades of loving wear. The mounting is belcher style -with flush mounted stones. It has light patina scratches expected with an antique piece that was worn with respect for a long time. It has been sized down, there is a seam in the center back of the shank. It is currently a size 4 3/4. It is marked inside Tiffany & Co and tests as 18K. The ring weighs 5.35 dwt or 8.3 grams. The box is not original, but it came with the piece and is genuine. It is deep midnight blue with gold embossed Tiffany & Co. New York on the cover. Inside is midnight blue silk and velvet. It is not really a ring box but it is a Tiffany box. With the recent volatility in precious metal prices, pieces are affordable again.
