This lovely old piece of Victorian jewelry belonged to my great-grandmother and has been handed down in my family. It features a sinuous design, delicate engraving and beautiful details rendered in a metal I presume to be brass because of its color. There are no hallmarks or makers' marks. It is quite a versatile piece of jewelry as it can be worn as either a brooch or pendant depending upon your outfit or mood. The piece is in very good condition as it has been safely tucked away in my jewelry box for years.
