Description ~ Antique Victorian 1880's -1890's ~ Very Well ~ Handmade ~ British Raj Anglo Sri lankan / Ceylonese gold gilded Silver ~ pink sapphire Kondakoora Pin brooch ~ Pin Brooch features 23 (missing one ) faceted genuine pink sapphires which are prong set on a gilded silver base ~ Pin is unmarked and unsigned (as most older pieces were) ,but acid test positive for higher grade silver ~ Pin has a simple C hook clasp on the backside. Measurements: Measures 3 1/2 inches in length x maximum width of 3/4 inches . Weighs 9 grams on my weighing scale . Condition: Pin is more then 100 years old and in good antique condition ~ As the stones are natural they vary in shape and color ~ Missing one stone and one replaced stone ~ Can see few with minor surface wear to metal and stones ~ There is light wear to gold gilding and few flea bit size nicks which are also noticeable upon closer inspection ... Please Note ~ As Antique /vintage items are previously loved /used please do expect some minor wear like surface wear /dents /dings and metal discoloration .
