Is it a Boston? Is it a Frenchie? Is it a pitbull or possibly a mutt? While we believe this brooch was most likely modeled after a Staffordshire terrier, we really just think it's a sweet little pup! This highly expressive, 3-dimensional pin is crafted in sterling silver with loads of details that bring this piece to life! A true dog owner's delight! Date: 1890s-1900s Materials: Sterling silver Measurements: 1.5" x 1" Markings: Sterling Condition: Very Good. This piece was completely black with tarnish when we found it. We have cleaned, scrubbed and polished it to the best of our ability. There is still a small bit of verdigris on the hinge of the clasp. It has been improved upon more since this photo was taken. The pin back is slightly bent from years of wear. Cleaning and Care: Clean gently with warm soap and water and a soft bristled brush. Dry thoroughly. Polish with a silver cloth if needed.
