Antique Waltham Royal Pocket Watch Movement 12s 17j – Model 1894 [Built in 1896] This Antique Pocket Watch is in good working order. Clean with a good strong tick keeping good time. The dial is white enamel with black-colored Roman numerals. Blued steel hands with sub-dial and marked “Waltham”. The back of the watch is labeled with A.W.W.Co. and serial number 7849752. Included in the sale is a Waltham Size 12 Royal 17 Jewels Salesman’s Case along with the original box it was delivered in. Please note: The Waltham Royal Pocket Watch Movement 12s 17j is not the original watch that came in the box. I have taken a great example of a Waltham Size 12 Royal 17 Jewels pocket watch and placed it in the Salesman’s Case. With both sides of the case having glass, you can enjoy the experience of looking at both the watch face and watch internals. Having been built in 1986, this functioning piece of history has existed through the past 129 years of American History. Traveling in someone’s pocket this watch would have been in use during two world wars, the Korean war, the Vietnam War, the fall of the U.S.S.R., and the War against Terrorism. ABOUT THE SELLER - I am a watch enthusiast. What started out as a collecting hobby, has turned into the preserving and restoration of vintage & antique watches. Each watch is taken apart and has the following done. (1) Clean the movement in a cleaning machine. (2) Replace broken or missing parts. (3) Oil & assemble the watch. Hopefully, when this is done, these watches will be in running order. I do not claim to be a professional, but a lot of time and effort goes into restoring each watch. As a watch hobbyist I cannot guarantee the robustness of these watches. However, it is my sincere hope these watches will get a good home, so they are preserved and do not become a melted down piece of history.
