Authentic and Unique Victorian Swallow Bird Brooch, Large yet feather Light, Perlized Enamel Approximately 3½” by 3½” large yet light as a feather. Pearlized enameling luster highlighting the delicate detailed etching on the aluminum. Swallows were a popular motif in Victorian jewelry, not only for their grace and beauty, but for their rich symbolism. Weary sailors welcomed the swallow for it meant safe land will emerge soon from the horizon and with that, home and loved ones too.
