Vehicle Fitment 2001-2005 BMW X5 Front Driver Side & Passenger Side Suspension Strut Assembly How to Install PICKOOR For BMW X5 2001-2005 Front Quick Complete Strut & Shock Assembly Vehicle Fitment 2001-2005 BMW X5 Front Driver Side & Passenger Side Suspension Strut Assembly How to Install Loosen the rear wheel bolts. Put the car in gear, chock the front wheels, jack up the car's rear and support it on axle stands. Remove the wheel. Remove the shock absorber top mounting nut/bolt(s). Loosen and remove the mounting bolt(s) at the bottom of the shock absorber. Remove the shock absorber from the wheel arch. Fitting is a reverse of removal, making sure you tighten the mounting nut/bolt(s) to the specified torque rating. Note: You may be required to compress and remove the coil spring .
