Chanel Fall 2001 Wool Jersey COCO Print Dress Designed by Karl Lagerfeld Size 36 FR / 6 US (Fits True) 34"B, 26"W, Open Hip, 40"L (Has Stretch) This collection was inspired by the glamour of apres-ski, and this COCO print became an iconic look of the early 2000s - although today this print is perhaps best known for its use on highly-collectible flap purses. Several variations of this print were shown as one look on the runway - you can see this 100% wool jersey in the runway model's turtleneck. The dress features painstaking gathering and draping work, with a cowl/scarf neckline that conceals the front zip, a fitted bodice, and a gathered drop waist. The technique of the shoulder is especially unusual with a Western-inspired pointed yoke - at the front it frames the sleeve placement and creates a very slight princess pouff and the back is also exquisitely gathered. It's in beautiful rarely-worn vintage condition with no signs of damage and has been in cold storage, but it is unhemmed.
