Description

Here is a polished, desirable sales listing you can use: --- **Exquisite Antique Chinese Flambé-Glazed *Sang de Boeuf* Bottle Vase Qing Dynasty, Tongzhi/Guangxu Period (Second Half 19th Century)** A superb example of Qing dynasty craftsmanship, this antique Chinese *tianqiuping*-form bottle vase showcases the iconic *sang de boeuf* (“ox-blood”) flambé glaze—rich, deep crimson with subtle mottling and beautiful tonal variations created through the oxidation of iron and copper. The glaze pools and transitions organically across the rounded body, reflecting the highly prized unpredictability that made flambé wares so desirable from the Kangxi reign onward. This elegant vase features a broad mouth, straight cylindrical neck, and full, planet-like globular body characteristic of the *tianqiuping* (“celestial sphere”) form. Its flat, footless base is slightly countersunk, emphasizing the purity of its silhouette. A refined café-au-lait rim adds contrast and sophistication, highlighting the vessel’s exceptional glaze quality. Produced in the renowned kilns of Jingdezhen during the Tongzhi/Guangxu era, this piece embodies the revival of high-quality flambé glazes in the 19th century—an homage to earlier imperial innovations while carrying its own distinct character and artistry. **Features:** * **Period:** Qing dynasty, Tongzhi/Guangxu (second half 19th century) * **Origin:** China, Jingdezhen kilns * **Glaze:** *Sang de boeuf* flambé with mottled surface * **Details:** Tall tall tapered neck, globular *tianqiuping* body * **Base:** Flat, footless, slightly countersunk * **Condition:** Excellent antique condition with expected minor glaze nuances typical of flambé ware A striking and evocative piece for collectors of fine Chinese ceramics—balanced in form, vibrant in colour, and rich in historical resonance. 1. It was a absolute pleasure to work with a top notch eBay selling company, with a positively smooth transaction experience process taking place. The item that I paid for was rapidly despatched and delivered in a very short convenient time frame period. Once first handled by myself I can honestly say that the appearance of the item was perfect as it was extremely well packaged, so the item inside was in perfect condition. 2. This beautiful Victorian style stand arrived on time and very well packaged. Sadly it was damaged in transit. This amazing seller did offer a refund after I shared pictures of the damage, however, I declined their kind offer and decided to restore the item. I have been looking for the perfect piece for many months and finally found it! It was as described (except for the damage caused in transit). Definately value for money. I will be purchasing items from here again. Thank you.

  3. Items were poorly packaged and one glass was completely shattered when it arrived. I reached out to the seller with a chance to replace one of the glasses or refund half the cost but have not heard back at the time of writing this.
