Being too close to the suburban expansion of Tucson, the mine was reclaimed years ago. This is a very good small cabinet specimen of vanadinite that features undamaged vanadinite crystal groups on the top of the specimen. Their deep red color is a striking contrast with the matrix. The specimen is numbered 131 from the collection of John E. MacDonald who was a mineral and art dealer from New Jersey, and later from Tucson, Arizona.
