Als grundlegend revisionsbedürftig gilt die einzige historisch-kritische Gesamtausgabe der Werke und Briefe Lessings, die sogenannte Ausgabe Lachmann/Muncker (abgeschlossen 1924). Alle seit dieser Ausgabe erschienenen Editionen bauen auf ihr auf. Zwar haben sie die Textgrundlage zum Teil erweitert (das gilt insbesondere für die Briefe von und an Lessing), textkritisch und -genetisch genügen alle diese Ausgaben den Ansprüchen zeitgenössischer Editorik jedoch in keiner Weise. Dieser Umstand ist Ausgangspunkt für das editio-Themenheft, das angesichts der Komplexität der Herausforderung konkrete Perspektiven für eine fundierte Lessing-Edition entwickelt. Es präsentiert die Ergebnisse einer Arbeitstagung, die im März 2020 im Lessinghaus zu Wolfenbüttel stattfand. Ziel des Bandes ist es, ausgehend von den Impulsen der Tagung modulare Bausteine für eine textkritische und digitale Lessing-Edition in den nächsten Jahren zu entwickeln, damit Forschung und interessierter Öffentlichkeit im Lessing-Jahr 2029 eine neue und zeitgenössischen Ansprüchen genügende Basis für die Auseinandersetzung mit dem Aufklärer Gotthold Ephraim Lessing zur Verfügung steht.   2. Received item as described and packaged well. Listing indicated shipping was free. Ordered on the 7th but by the 14th noticed it hadn’t been shipped yet. Seller responded quickly saying that during the purchase process that it said it would not be shipped until the 22nd because they use a fulfillment house. I don’t recall seeing anything about delayed shipping during the process or in the listing. While I appreciate the prompt response to my inquiry, other buyers should be aware of delays.

  3. The book was brand still plastic wrapped. Looks exactly like the picture for a reasonable price including shipping. In perfect condition. Shipping was slow and I was worried that I was scammed again. Seller did respond to my message after a day and explained the item would be shipped within a week. The item shipping and tracking was updated by the date they stated. Took about 2 weeks to receive item. I’m usually impressed when item is shipped and received within a week.
