Product description Charles Danner began making sturdy work boots with five workers in Chippewa Falls in 1932, selling them for $4 a pair. Charles Danner runs a business in Portland, Oregon. At that time, he began making high-quality chalk loggers and selling them for $20 a pair. In 1959, Danner developed the first climbing boot in the United States using a Vibram sole, and Danner's Mountain Trail was featured in a backpacker magazine as the easiest boot to climb, making Danner the premier brand in the hiking industry. In 1979, through joint development with Boots Gore-Tex, we were the first in the world to succeed in using Gore-Tex, a waterproof and breathable material that was said to be difficult to use in shoes. The shoe was named Danner Lite, and today it has become synonymous with completely waterproof boots. Since its founding, the company's concept has been to create shoes that are easy to use and durable, without causing any inconvenience to those who actually wear Danner shoes.
