Lor, born Denise Jeanne Briault, was a popular singer and actress during the 1950s and 1960s. She got her first big break in singing when she was hired to sing in Sonja Henie's New York ice show at the Center Theatre. Lor decided to use her mother's maiden name as her stage name. She appeared in various television shows during the 1950s and early 1960s such as the "The Big Payoff, "The Garry Moore Show", and "The Jack Paar Tonight Show". Lor also appeared in the movie "Diary of a Bachelor". Her main hit song was "If I Give My Heart to You", which charted in 1954 at the same time as another recording of the same song by Doris Day.
