Here's a very nice brass Musket Butt Plate dug on private land at the battlefield of Cold Harbor, near Richmond, Va. It's in excellent condition all round, with a great looking green patina. It was suggested this may be from a Belgian musket, but I can't say for sure. It's unusual to find a butt plate in such awesome condition, and it will make a great addition to your relic collection.
