Description
EAPG CLEAR CRANESBILL CREAMER, UNKNOWN, 1890 Creamer in the Cranesbill pattern. The top edge has the file edge with a fancy molded handle and footed base. The top rim is distinctive with its file edge. The creamer is 4-1/2” tall and 3-3/8” across the opening. Both sides of this piece are embossed with some kind of flowers and leaves. Reference: Standard Encyclopedia of Pressed Glass, 1860-1930, Bill Edwards & Mike Carwile, Page 49. Quote from book: We do not know the maker of this nice pattern but evidence supports an 1890 origin of the few items found. Shapes include a table set, berry set and water set. Picture shown in book is of a pedestal water pitcher. All pieces are scarce. I can not find any chips, cracks, or stains. There is a little minor roughness around the top rim.
The delicate item arrived exactly as described. It was packaged wonderfully! Probably a good thing since the package was left out at the street by the mailbox. It appeared the postman just threw it out the window. Thank you so much for taking the time to package it well. it was completely unharmed!
