ERIC MIYASHIRO EM1- MK2 YAMAHA SIGNATURE SERIES MOUTHPIECE Miyashiro made his debut as a professional musician at age 14 as the lead trumpet player of the Sammy Davis, Jr. band. After graduating from Berklee College of Music, he toured with the most prestigious names in the business, including Woody Herman, Frank Sinatra, Mel Torme and Tony Bennett. Currently a resident of Japan, Miyashiro works as a top studio musician, clinician and leader of his own band, the EM Big Band. Eric Miyashiro was one of a select few, high range trumpeters, who performed when Maynard Ferguson band alumni regrouped for a highly emotional memorial concert soon after his death. A DVD of the concert was released, also featuring footage of Ferguson in performance, and spoken tributes from colleagues.
