The band want to give people good music and positive lyrics that mean something to us all, so that the God's message can be part of our everyday lives. Fisher's Tale is aimed at everyone, young and old, Christian or otherwise! After 'Boundless', released in 2003, this band of six from Loughborough bring us their fourth album. 'Different Horizon' is a mix of folk, rock and soul. Founder member David Fenton has left, leaving the accomplished Abbie Downer to take lead vocals and new bass player Simeon Kay makes his debut on this album. 'Different Horizon' cannot be faulted for its production and the band members are excellent musicians who blend well with Abbie's voice. I imagine they give a good live performance. All the songs are based around particular Bible passages and I like the way they include the meaning behind each song with the lyrics. The opening track "Reason To The Dream" mixes classical and rock with a beautiful cello intro played by Anna Ryder which fuses into electric guitars as the song progresses. "Gravity" has a club style atmosphere and "Copy And Shadow" and "Lead Us Through" both have fine lyrics and an upbeat rhythm. This album is a promising follow up to 'Boundless'. 10 per cent of the sale of each copy will be donated to the charity Africrafts, who teach skills to people in Africa suffering from the effects of poverty and civil unrest.
