The Angel mark is an unofficial mark that indicates the pewter is lead free and of high quality. It is often found on Continental European pewter. The Angel may be flying, standing with a palm branch in hand, or with a sword and scales. This set of 4 Pewter cups bear this Angel mark as well as a maker’s mark of ES. They are in excellent, like-new condition as you can see in the photos. Each measures approx 4.5 inches tall, and 3.375 inches at the mouth.
