About the D8 RS Chassis Design & Components The HB Racing D8 Race Spec (D8rs) chassis is engineered for superior durability, balance, and performance on the track. Constructed from 7075 aircraft-grade aluminum, the chassis provides a strong yet lightweight foundation, ensuring improved stability and rear-end grip. The symmetrical design enhances overall balance, resulting in consistent jumping and cornering characteristics. Strategic machining throughout the chassis reduces unnecessary weight while optimizing flex characteristics for better handling. A key addition is the machined aluminum center chassis brace, which reinforces the midsection of the car, reducing flex and increasing durability in high-stress racing conditions.
