The Dutch oven is black in color and represents a piece of culinary history from the early 20th century. This beautiful piece was stripped and seasoned and is ready for use or display. Truth be told it has had a one-time use since being re-seasoned. I used it for baked beans over Easter. please check out my other items I have for sale .All my cast-iron has been stripped to bear metal and then seasoned with grapeseed oil at 475° 5 times for one hour.
