Description
You are looking at a vintage Whiskey Barrel on a cart being pulled by two oxen. It was made in Nicaragua in Masaya. It has 6 barrel shaped shot glasses that hang by small nails from the frame of the cart. It is made completely of wood other than the nails and the three screws holding the yoke to the oxen. It is 21 inches long and is 10 inches tall. The barrel is 9 inches long. The shot glasses are 2 inches tall. The ox on the right hand side is missing one of his horns. The oxen look to be hand carved. On the barrel and the center pole of the yoke it says "Masaya" "Nicaragua" & "89" (not sure if it is 1889 or 1989). The barrels all have "Nicaragua" on them. This is a really cool piece of folk art that would be great in a man cave or in any bar. I am sure it was made for the tourists in the area, that being said I personally have never seen one before.
