Hear 1986 Empty Set Michigan Pop Rock EP - Wandering in Wonder The Empty Set - "Wandering in Wonder" (Lala 7228). Good 80s rock band from the Ann Arbor area and featuring Billy Frank, Larry Miller, Ron Asheton, and Ron DeVore. Empty Set evolved from essentially ashes of Nonfiction, an avant-garde power-punk trio. Nonfiction, in turn, had been born out of the ashes of The Other band, which had been born out of the ashes of The Same Band prior. All three Ann Arbor post-punk bands were from 1980 through 1985. The Empty Set began in 1986 and then moved from Michigan to Los Angeles. "Wondering in Wonder" was released in 1986, followed by their 10-song LP "Lost in a Ryptide" in 1988. Cuts include: "Sing Song Babble On;" "Flying Fish;" "Pretty Please;" and "Wall Song." Take a listen. Record is in M- condition and cover is in VG condition (some ring wear.)
