Stamped Vintage General Foam Plastics Blow Mold Plastic Bright Hot Pink & Black Halloween Pumpkin / Jack-O-Lantern Trick or Treat Candy Pail / Bucket Made in the USA For collecting or passing out candy 10" x 8.5" x 7.5" ______________________________ General Foam Plastics was a Blow Mold manufacturing company founded in 1957 in Norfolk, Virginia. They specialized in making blow molded plastic lawn figures, Christmas trees, pools, ponds and planters. During their run, they acquired several defunct blow mold companies like Beco Products, Empire Plastics and Polson Products. However, in the late 2000s, blow mold sales began to fall. People started buying inflatable lawn figures. In 2017, GFP shut down its Norfolk, VA factory, laid off all employees and sold all its remaining merchandise after 60 years of business. Currently, plastic pumpkin pails can be purchased but most of them have poor paint application to the eyes, nose and mouth. These are no comparison to the higher quality GFP products.
