Description
A Japanese Meiji Era carte de visite with applied colors depicting a Maiko in a red-collared kimono (typical of a Maiko outfit), circa late 19th century. A Maiko is a Geisha woman under apprenticeship/training. Condition: The CDV shows minor image loss, staining, creasing, consistent wearing, and extensive edge loss. Measurements: 4" × 2.5" All measurements are taken to the nearest half inch.
