This listing is for a 1962 Jaguar E-Type (XKE) engine block (sans head) which shows a casting date of October 23rd, 1962. The serial number shown is R-9669-9 indicating a 9:1 compression ratio. The displacement of this engine is 3.8 liters. The engine presumably features the original crankshaft, pistons (Brico), connecting rods, etc. Timing chain components are also included with the block. E-Type oil pan is not included, however the engine will include a 60’s era sedan oil pan to protect the crankshaft, etc. The engine crank does turn and the pistons move freely. No observable cracks shown in the block. The buyer assumes all responsibility for picking up the engine locally. We may possibly be able to arrange freight shipping with an additional fee.
