231 J Jeep Transfer Case 4.25” Input Gear with a 50% wider bearing race than stock, plus matching bearing. This set is from a part time, low mileage donor and in A+ condition. Applies to only the 4.25” long, 23-spline, 95-up Stock 231, 23-spline Jeep input gears fit a 16mm (0.63”) wide bearing in the front transfer case cover. This upgrade input mates to a heavier duty, (24mm/.94”) wide bearing. The wider input bearing is easily swapped, fits perfectly, and does not affect spacing in any way. The stock and replacement inputs have different ‘shoulder’ heights which allow for the wide bearing swap without any other changes. (See photo 2 - upgrade on right.) This upgrade applies to only the 4.25” long, 23-spline, 95-up input gear. To see if yours is 4.25” without dismantling, measure how far it sticks out from the front of the case. It should be about 1.2”. If not removed from transmission, message us which transmission model you have, and we will verify fitment. Free shipping to all 50 states & PR.
