The carbon monoxide detector allows you to still use plugs above the wall outlet, as long as it's plugged into the bottom outlet. In the event of an incident of carbon monoxide gas, the Kidde alarm will sound an 85-decibel alarm with 4 loud beeps, plus a red LED light will illuminate. The Kidde CO detector also features a Replacement Alert, which chirps 2 times every 30 seconds to indicate that it's time to replace the detector. I hadn't noticed the time it would take to receive this item when the order was placed (my bad!) and requested a cancellation because I needed it sooner. The merchant responded very quickly and the order was cancelled and refunded.
Items are great considering how they were packed. Price was gereat and shipment was rapid. The only two drawbacks were I was never given the tracking information and they were shipped in only a grocery store plastic bag.
