Here is the delta frame canning element, Part Number 242905, which replaces one of the 8-inch elements on many KitchenAid and Whirlpool electric ranges (check your parts list for compatibility). The large diameter of most water-bath or pressure canners combined with high heat settings for long periods of time can shorten the life of regular surface units and cause damage to the cooktop. When mounted, this element sits above the cooktop. Canning element was used for a number of late summer/early fall canning seasons, and was removed during the canning off-seasons. It still functions perfectly and has no broken or missing parts. We no longer need it as the range upon which it was used was replaced about a year and a half ago. Item is typically no longer available new. Item comes from a smoke-free, pet-free home. Winning bidder pays actual shipping cost plus $0.25 for packaging supplies.
