This is an artist signed, large vintage wooden hand-painted lacquered egg with a stand, measuring 6-1/4 inches tall. The egg features a hand painted drawing of Jesus Christ with an inscription in the back that reads “Save and Protect - Спаси и Сохрани ”. This large icon-hand painted Russian wooden egg on a pedestal with its stunning depiction of Jesus Christ embodies the deep religious history of the Russian people and has long been depicted in the carving and decorating of these famous hand painted eggs. Handmade in the Russian Federation during the 1990s, this collector's egg would make a unique addition to any room, especially during Easter or as a year round decorative piece for any occasion. It’s in excellent vintage condition without damage and measures 6-1/4” tall x 4-3/4” wide and appropriately 10-1/2” tall from the top of the egg to bottom of the stand. Had a few issues with this purchase. Item was packaged well, shipped quickly, but was listed as uranium, and the shaker I received was just milk glass, and not uranium. Contacted seller who responded quickly, I explained the issues, and item was returned to seller for a refund without any issues.
