Longines 13ZN12 flyback chronograph watch is the quintessential swiss manfacture watch that introduced the first wrist watch with flyback function with 2 bush buttons. Based in St. Imier the Longines brand is the front runner in the in-house manufacture and innovation of flyback chrongraph watches in Swiss Horology. This piece is in with 2 square pusher buttons that was made in 1948 in 18ct gold 38mm case with silver color dial with goldplated baton index hour marks and 12 & 6 in arab numerals, the very few FLYBACK wrist watches in the 13zn models with 2 push square buttons, hence very rare piece. Attached to the watch is a bespoke Brown Camo top & suede brown back strap curved with easy change pin and a original period buckle. Watch comes with record from the archives from Longines switzerland for this watch for exact record of its production/sale showing that the serial No: 7,32xxxx was invoiced on 24th May 1948 to the company Girod, agent of the brand in Spain. Most iconic swiss watch of 1940’s to 1970 when the brand was the most prestigious manufacturer of chronographs watches and its movements fully inhouse in its factory in St.Imier, Switzerland. Wow, this Longines is a true piece of history on the wrist! The 18k gold case and silver dial with those elegant Arabic numerals are absolutely stunning. It's incredible to wear the watch that pioneered the flyback chronograph. The condition for its age is remarkable, and it feels both luxurious and significant. A genuine collector's dream.
