Description
This wooden box and tools inside were found at an estate sale. I am selling the entire box and contents as found. The ruler is L.S. Starrett Co. with E. Hancock on the back - that is the only piece known to be from L.S. Starrett. I have no idea what the other tools in the box are or what they are used for. The small gray/tan square item is a sharpening stone (not an eraser). I searched the internet for pictures that would help me discern what these tools may be for but with no luck - none of tools, other than the ruler & case, have any maker's marks that I can see. The very small bottle with two tiny pieces inside had a tag on the larger piece with I have attempted to picture closely so you can see the handwriting. These MIGHT BE watchmaker/repair tools, as there were many pocket watches at the same sale so that would make sense, but that is simply a guess. As I do not know what this is, it is very difficult to value it and price it. If anyone has further information they are willing to share, that would be greatly appreciated. As it stands, I'm selling on auction as found, as is, and as pictured. The "clear green" ruler in the picture is for scale only and not included in this lot.
