Made in Mexico Mexican Sterling Silver Pin Brooch - Owl with Pink Topaz Eye. Designed as an owl, the pin features a faceted round pink topaz (tested on my Presidium) in one eye. Conversion has been nicely done. Weight is 7.9 grams. Vintage Made in Mexico Mexican Sterling Silver Pin Brooch - Owl with Pink Topaz Eye Dating to the 1940s/1950s or so, may I offer this Sterling Silver pin / brooch that was made in Mexico. They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery and in this case, it certainly is the truth - the pin I offer is an homage to the great master silversmith William Spratling. Designed as an owl, the pin features a faceted round pink topaz (tested on my Presidium) in one eye. Safety catch closure which is definitely a replacement for the original c-catch that would have been found on the reverse. Conversion has been nicely done. The pin measures 1-3/8" high x just under 1" wide. Weight is 7.9 grams. Overall condition is very nice with just polish powder residue and some tarnish remaining in the nooks and crannies - another polish and wash will take care of this. 5683Robin/V Postage quoted INCLUDES insurance.
