GDI Hardware commercial and residential kick plates are made of 3/64" thick metal with a choice of aluminum or stainless steel. We offer the following finishes: Satin Brass, Black, Dark Brown, and Satin Silver. Magnetic- and adhesive-mounted kick plates are blank without holes and are supplied with magnetic or 3m adhesive strips. Screw-mounted kick plates have pre-drilled holes and are supplied with matching installation screws. The number of pre-drilled holes is determined by kick plate size. All kick plates have a protective film on the surface. Please remove this protective film to reveal the plate's smooth, clean finish. It is recommended to remove the protective film post-installation. Installation instructions are included with each shipment. MEASURE YOUR DOOR: 1. Measure the width of the door. 2. Subtract 2" from the width of the door for stops and weather stripping. 3. Measure from the bottom of the door to the bottom of the first panel. Then subtract 1" from the height (if your door is flat and does not have a panel, choose desired height). 4. If the bottom of the door has weather stripping, do not include that in the height. EXAMPLE: A 36" wide door with a 9" tall bottom rail would use an 8" x 34" kick plate.
