Full hand forged, hand polished and hand sharpened.With nice proportions and still very solid because of its excellent geometry to achieve optimal performance. Polish 2&To fully polish the blade that need to work up through at least 6-8 stones by Japanese method which made the surface of the blade like a mirror and sharpness .First comes the basic shaping, the refining of the basic shape and lastly the 'make-up' of the blade. 3&Each next stones constantly stacking unique aesthetic details and will remove the scratches of the previous stone.This traditional polishing process produces a blade with a keen edge, clean lines, and flat surface. 4&The tip of the blade is a KAMASU-Kissaki (straight) and the blade comes full tang and sharp that can be used to cut the straw mat and bamboo but should with good technique and right gesture with a single strike yet sharp enough to slice paper. Tsuka 5&For the tsuka(handle) the wood core is carved and fit to the tang of the blade which is covered in ray skin(same') and tightly wrapped in the traditional cross over style ito (braid) helps protect tsuka from the oils and sweat from your hands during training. 6&The Fuchi (sleeve) and Kashira (buttcap) are of alloy detailing and Menuki on each side as an ornament. The oxidization process will create an antique look.Two Mekugi (peg) secure the Tang of the sword Saya 7&Each saya is individually carved to match its blade, ensuring a proper fit. Once shaped buffalo horn koiguchi, kurikata and kojiri are precisely fit to the saya.The saya is hard wooden finished in black lacquer with a cotton Sageo(cord) that tied around the Kurikata (knob) 8&Our master sword smiths combine modern knowledge with traditional secrets to produce superior quality swords known for their durability, sharpness, and exquisite craftsmanship.In hand this sword feels as if it is a natural extension to your arm, a truly exceptional experience. Amazing Service Thank you everything was perfect I would recommend if anyone looking to buy then buy from Sword Cabinet 007 they really know what they are doing when I opened it everything was wrapped professionally, has no wobble, blade was oiled and wrapped. Ito and tsuka was wrapped the sword was placed in a sword bag and place in styrofoam to protect saya and sword also. My order came earlier than expected I really appreciate it SwordCabinet007 you guys are awesome I will be ordering again
Super impressed with the swords, so much nicer than expected. These are serious business, beautiful pieces that can obviously do some damage. Very sharp. Shipping was WAY faster than expected and the packaging was very nicely done and protective of the contents. I would definitely purchase more from these folks in the future and have one in particular I will keep my eye on for when I feel like spending on something that will most likely just hang on the wall, barring the apocalypse.
