Off-White ODSY-1000 Beige Sneakers - EU Size 42, US 9.5 (Artisanal, Streetwear) One of the most premium sneakers I've handled, these hiking-inspired sneakers from Off-White are ready for the runway. Don't let the staining fool you - this special colorway is dyed purposefully, and a closer look will reveal a pleasing symmetry to the black spots and the caramel-colored splotches and stripes in the soles. Complete with an industrial-grade pull tab, a rigid mesh body, a retro-styled exposed foam tongue, and some of the best rope shoelaces I've seen, the engineered quality of this item is beyond belief, and speaks to Virgil Abloh's background in architecture and design. The soles have rugged spikes for traction and style, and smell of vanilla from the latex rubber used, similar to Rick Owens sneakers and boots. There are small signs of wear like a little dirt here and there, a few spikes starting to wear down, and some stubborn dirt in the crevices of the sole, but taken as a whole, this intentionally distressed sneaker will probably outlast us both. To add context to my price, the last time this particular style of ODSY-1000s were sold, they went for $2200 on GOAT, and one in a smaller size is being offered for $1500 at the moment. I'd love to know more about the history behind this item if you happen to know! It's very different from the other ODSY-1000s, but my guess is that these are a pre-mass production model. Nice reasonably priced package. Has to do a bit of cleanup work on the items, but they were listed as used, so that is to be expected. Great communication and excellent packing. Fast shipper - just wish the USPS wasn't so slow from his locale. I would definitely buy from this seller again.
