This official souvenir postal card from the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago, Illinois features a striking full-color illustration of the Manufactures and Liberal Arts Building , one of the largest structures at the fair. The card includes classical allegorical figures, boats on the lagoon, and facsimile signatures of fair officials. Issued by the U.S. Government, this 1¢ Grant postal card was authorized for official use and printed by The American Bank Note Co. with lithography by Menger Lithographing Co., Chicago .

Good value for this promotional postcard from a Mittenwald luthier who employed more advertising messaging than most of the Geigenbauer in that lovely town.
